Growth and Nitrogen Retranslocation of Nutrient-Loaded Clonal Betula alnoides Transplanted with or without Fertilization

چکیده

Nutrient loading can improve the growth and nutrient content of nursery-grown Betula alnoides Buch.-Ham. ex D. Don, but it is unknown whether enhances uptake after transplanting. Plants were grown with three treatments (N100, N200, N400; 100, 200, 400 mg N per plant as 15N-urea) in nursery containers then transplanted into plastic pots, or without controlled-release fertilizer (F0 F10, 0 10 g plant). The N400 plants had a smaller size higher nitrogen concentration relative to N100 N200 before However, 180 days transplanting, superior root collar diameter, length, area compared plants, due an increase 15N retranslocation new stems leaves. Moreover, transplant fertilization (F10) enhanced height, dry mass, not retranslocation, F0. We recommend that medium- high-dose implemented B. nurseries optimize Additional at transplanting may be advantageous supporting growth, owing rapid depletion reserves planting out field.

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Improving Yield and Nutrient Uptake Potentials of Japonica and Indica Rice Varieties with Nitrogen Fertilization

The most important problem in achieving high yields in rice is how to increase the nitrogen (N) absorption at each growth stage without reducing the percentage of ripened grains. Proper amount and timing of application could reduce N losses and increase fertilizer use efficiency while cost of production is also reduced and yield is increased. In order to avoid losses and to use soil-and fertili...

P-90: Ascorbic Acid Effects on In Vitro Fertilization of Ovine Oocyte with or without Cumulus Cells

Background: In vitro maturation and fertilization are techniques to increase efficiency of mammals reproduction. However, in vitro culture conditions exert an imbalance between oxidants and antioxidants which may reduce live birth and pregnancy rates when compare to in vivo conditions. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted as a part of the ovine IVF program organized by Univers...

Nitrogen deficiency and fertilization effects on needle growth

(Bong.) Carr.) seedlings were subjected to nitrogen (N) deficiency for 1 year and then treated twice weekly with N fertilizer solutions (0 to 224 mg N l) for 20 weeks. Needle growth in terms of projected area and cell number, and photosynthesis in terms of pigment concentration, net photosynthetic rate (PN), stomatal conductance to CO2 (GS) and intercellular partial pressure of CO2 (Ci) were me...

Gross nitrogen retranslocation within a canopy of Quercus serrata saplings.

Nitrogen (N) retranslocation within tree canopies has been intensively studied and assumed to function as a one-way process (e.g., from older to newer leaves). However, recent studies have found that both N output and input occur in individual leaves, suggesting that 'gross' N retranslocation exists behind 'net' N retranslocation. In the present study, the amount and direction of gross N retran...
